CONVENIENCE STORE OVERVIEW

It is evident that today’s purchasing trends lean towards convenience and one-stop shopping in order to save precious time in our busy lives. Food Services, Inc. can help determine C-Store options either implemented in the retail area itself or as a stand alone service area. If desired, we will strive to make it as customer friendly as possible by achieving the following goals:

  • Expand product lines; increase annual per capita spending, and providing true student service.
  • Replace off-peak hours of the main dining service
  • Meet customers’ needs, such as those studying late or need convenience items, avoiding a trip off campus.
  • Selling our customers’ popular retail and logo items.
  • “Thinking Retail”
  • Offering new lines as often as possible and finding out what our customers’ are looking for.
  • Using quality names that generate higher customer acceptance.
  • Marketing our product lines through e-mail, flyers, and bulletin boards, just as we do our other food service components. Additionally, we will use promotions to cross-sell all the food service segments.

The C-Store area will be designed to serve a variety of campus needs. The University will approve all products sold and a detailed product listing will be proposed and approved with pricing prior to opening.
